Magnetic Separation Process, Iron Ore Production Process or Iron Ore Concentrate Process is a iron recover system that concentrate the iron content from various kinds of iron ores, such as magnetite, hematite, limonite, it can also be used to remove the iron content when the iron is regarded as the impurity, it is also presented in the sponge iron production plant, generally speaking a Magnetic Separation Process includes three units, first is crushing, second is grinding and finally is the separation unit.

Generall Process of the Magnetic Separation Process / Mineral Separation Plant / Dry Magnetic Separation Iron Ore

1. To crush the iron ore into smaller sizes which should meet the requirement of the Ball Mill , for the river sand, it's not necessary to use crushers or the ball mill, as the sand is small enough and the iron content is separated from the impurities, so the river sand can be fed to the magnetic separator for separation directly.

2. After crushing, the iron ore will be conveyed to a hopper before the ball mill for storage, and there is one electromagnetic feeder under the hopper, which serves to feed the iron ore to the ball mill with rated amount.

3. After grinding, the required sizes will flow to the Spiral Classifier to choose the required fines, which will be pumped to the magnetic separator for further separation, while the coarse particles will returned to the ball mill for regrinding.

4. After the slurry goes through the magnetic separators, usually 2-3 groups, the iron content is effectively recovered and concentrated. and with Filter Press and drying process, we can get the dry iron concentrate.
